Marmoset formed in the 90s and have been putting out albums ever since- even though a member of the band passed away last year. The Secretly Canadian band from Indianapolis put out their new record Tea Tornado on Aug. 4 and are on tour. Catch them tonight at the Cake Shop and tomorrow at Bruar Falls (with The Pomegranates).

This track off the new album, “Peach Cobbler” is the epitome of an under statement. The song glides along calmly and never really goes anywhere- but that’s the point. The simple lines and stark vocals are a little haunting. It sounds a little like early Sonic Youth vocals. Little affectation.
