Looking for something to do on one of your last weekends of summer? Well look no more, cause’ I’ve got it. This Friday, Saturday and Sunday there’s a big show at Littlefield in Gowanus, Brooklyn called “After The Jump Fest.” There will be art, awesome music, and if that’s not enough to get you out & about, they’ve got free Brooklyn Lager (for the first hour each day) & food for all. Tickets are $10 a person and for a three day pass its just $25. It’s all about the music and art here- a bunch of NYC’s music bloggers have put this event together to show you just how much they love music and what they think should be the next big thing.
Friday, Aug. 28:
Dinosaur Feathers– This band calls Brooklyn home and have a distinct and different sound. I call them the Beach Boys 2009 edition. Well, a bit more modern of course. The band’s songs are definitely fit for summer, just kicking back and doing nothing.

Saturday, Aug. 29th:
Captain Ahab and the Sea Crackens– This Staten Island based band is mostly instrumental, and their rifts and drums certainly pack a punch. Their music sounds like something you’d hear in a surfer movie.
Sunday, Aug. 30th:
Julianna Barwick– I’m sad to say that I won’t get the chance to see this lovely Brooklynite peform. But I’ve had a chance to listen to her music (over and over again because I love it, I might add) and I hope to catch her another time. She truly sounds as if she’s descended from heaven! Her cries of oh’s and ahh’s are bunched together along with soothing melodies. Go on Sunday and make sure to listen to her, you’ll miss out if you don’t…
