While I am a little on the fence about downloading music, mostly because I feel for the artists, I have no ambivalent feelings about the record industry getting ripped off. Basically what that means is that I think a new business model is needed, much like how a new business model is needed in journalism. Everything is free on the Internet, and that’s where music and information are located, so we need to figure out where the money comes from. The Recording Industry Association of America has not figured out how to help with this arduous process. Suing peer-to-peer services and individuals does nothing but harbor bad feelings.

So, why the F is Obama filling his cabinet with RIAA lawyers?? I’m not happy about this.
