This story from WIRED about MySpace Music and developments they are making to create a better platform for users reads sort of like a press release. Nonetheless it’s interesting to see what the big head’s behind MySpace are thinking. I like the playlists idea and that you can drag and drop tunes and keep the playlist centrally located and not on an artist’s page but the fact remains that people want free downloads. Most people don’t only want to stream music, they want it on their iPod’s.

I do, however, like the fact that Courtney Holt, the head of MySpace Music gets how important album’s and album art and liner notes are to some people. But the young-ins who’ve never missed it don’t care much, and they are the ones that are all over MySpace like flies on shit.
