Elliott Smith has been on my mind a lot lately. It was just the reunion of his sad passing on Oct. 21 and then a few days later I saw the documentary “Searching for Elliott Smith.” And then I was googling him looking for something i’d heard once before but needed to hear again. And here it is, Elliott covering The Kinks classic, “Waterloo Sunset” performed live at Brownies (remember Brownies) in the East Village on April 13, 1997.
